Gelish: Love for Chanel

Yongying, another customer who brought alot a picture of her intended design!

She chose Gelish Make A Difference and Gelish Waterfield, and the heart was drawn with Bling B020 and Gelish Black Shadow! She absolutely loves bling and I’ve added a huge ss10 crystal and ss4 on her glitter nails, a square gold stud on her middle and black lace and a Chanel charm for her thumbs! Look at how shiny the charms are, simply stunning!

Yes I do have quite a number of charms at the moment, I’m bringing in more designs too! Check my Facebook later on, I will post it up ^^

Gelish: Sweet Lace

Sorry for the lack of updates! Been busy interning and attending nail classes!

Did a house call for my boyfriend’s mum this week before she flys to Taiwan! :) Hopefully my boyfriend is able to bring back Japan stickers so I’ll have a wide variety for you guys to spice up your nails! There’s a new nailtat store in Taiwan so I’m crossing my fingers that they will be able to find it!

Anyway, on to the nails!! First time doing embossed art on my bf’s mum and I don’t think I did a very good job :( this design is adapted from cynfulnails.com! Colours used are Angel.Pro 28, Gelish Sheek White, Gelish Black Shadow and lastly, Gelish Vegas Nights!

Brought over my lace stickers and I like how well the dots and lace complemented!

Gelish: Classy French

Rose and Hazel came for a French manicure and both of them chose a different base colour!

Rose had Gelish Tassle while Hazel had Gelish Champagne!

Wow I think this was the best French I’ve ever done even though I still need lots of improvement!! Rose also added butterfly stickers to her ring and thumb which I didn’t take photos of!

Gelish: Polka Banana

Shanice was awesome because she got me a drink from Gongcha! :) love that customers are so polite and nice; we had a blast that night talking (with Pei Shan too!)and laughing about random stuff, both of them are hilarious!

Shanice wanted yellow and wants glitter and polka dots and this was the end result! Colours used: Angel.Pro 9 and Gelish Waterfield! She also wanted polka dots in alternate colours! Pei Xuan also suggested to Shanice on putting the embossed ribbons one finger as an accent nail!

Gelish: Feminine Half-moons

Pei Shan came with Shanice to get their nails done! (will post up Shanice’s mani next!)

They both had a slight difficulty in choosing their nail designs and ended up telling me to do whatever I want to suit them! So after asking what they like or dislike, here’s the final outcome!

Did half-moons for her to make her nails look even longer. She doesn’t have free edge at all, her nail bed is really beautiful; slender and long! Gelish Vegas Nights for the base and alternating Gelish Sheek White and Gelish Less Talk!

She initially wanted her look to be simple, without any 3D art but Shanice and I suggested doing it to make her nails look even cuter! So we settled on white acrylic ribbons on pink base and vice versa! Also added polka dots to the other nails ^^

Super sweet set!

Gelish: Sexy Red Corset

Belinder came over to have her nails done again! She was incredibly sweet! Even though I think I’ve messed up this nail art, she assured me that she loves it and smsed me to let me know right after she left! :D Sigh… feel so happy to have happy regulars lol!

This nail art is inspired by Ying!!!

I used Artistic Colour Gloss Hotzy and Gelish Waterfield as bases, all art drawn with black/white acrylic paint! Red corset nail art is so seductive!!!! We went ‘WOW!’ after I was done with the art because we had no idea such a red goes well as a corset nail art, lol! Belinder was very sure on what art she wants, she had already decided she wanted to do this art when she came over the first time! ^^

Gelish: Slanted French with Polka Dots

Shervin came over to have her nails done for CNY! She requested for this nail art by showing me a picture that she got online and this is basically it! The original design was a slanted french with a solid silver stripe down with big polka dots on every nail.

She wanted to keep it simple, hence the alternate polka dots and the glitter silver stripe instead!

If you guys follow me on Twitter and on Facebook, you’d have known that I got 12 Angel.Pro Gelly polishes from Pink Room!! (3 is on pre-order) and I’m super happy that I got to try out one of the colours! This is Angel.Pro 22… I wish Korean polishes have names!!!! This is a very sweet colour, a pinkish red! :)

Gelish: 2-Tone Red Gradient

CNY is coming and what’s the best way to begin the new year?? By having red on your nails of course! :D

Aggie is my first customer during the CNY period and her gradient is done using Gelish Vegas Nights as the base and Gelish Hotzy for the bold contrast. Gelish June Bride is added at the finally end for the finishing touches! So sparkly!!!! I suggested adding crystals and hexagon glitter pieces but Aggie was afraid that the crystals might fall off and she didn’t like how the glitter pieces looked on her nails. I’m glad she settled for this classic gradient one :)

Gelish: Subtle Marbling with Crystals and Beads

Elieen came with almost all her nails broken and there was 5 of her nails with fake tips stuck on them. When I asked her how much she paid for this at a salon, she said she paid over a $100. That’s daylight robbery!!! Its not even gel or acrylic extension, just normal polish with gradient effect on fake nails and then glued on her nails.

So before you step into a salon, make sure you do enough research or have seen some of their manicurists work first before committing!

Did a half-moon + marbling because Eileen doesn’t like polka dots, flowers etc so we decided to make it very simple! Half-moons make your nails look much longer, and this really helps in Eileen’s case because she peeled the other fake tips off her nails by herself and her real nails broke off in the process.

I used Gelish Vegas Nights for the base and Gelish Make A Difference and Gelish Sheek White for the half moon and the marbling.

She also requested for crystals and I did a mix of black and white crystals and golden bullion beads :)

P.S. Congratulations to Eileen!!! She’s getting married on Saturday and this is the nails she’s going to sport on that day! :) she even gave me her wedding photo for a keepsake, thank you!

Gelish: A Dotted Affair

Sally (my boyfriend’s mum) chose this design from the Nail Max Feb 2012 issue when I did a few samples on my nail art wheel! :D

I tweaked the colours to make this design more ‘personalized’! I used Gelish Take Action with Gelish June Bride and Gelish Sleek White with Gelish Vegas Nights as the base colours! After that, I added on oval-shaped blobs using OPI Planks A Lot and OPI Indi-a Mood For Love! The rest of the art was done with acrylic paint! I actually wanted to replace the accent nails (white base) with polka dots as the background but it didn’t turn out as well and it didn’t match with the rest of the nails, so we decided to make it the dotted lines as the background for all the nails!

Did all roses on all fingers except both middle fingers because I don’t want it to be too overcrowding with the roses. Hehe, added a pearl and a ss10 crystal for the middle fingers and also ss4 crystals on the centre of each rose! Love how it shines with the slightest movement of her hands :D

I finished doing this pair of nails at 1AM!!! Lol cuz my future mother-in-law (hopefully) got home from work late and we started doing her nails really late too! My eyes were literally cross-eyed cause I was tired but yet I had to focus! :P
