Opps, sorry for not posting yesterday! Haha I was so tired when I got home that I immediately showered and lay on my bed! I’ve been reading a novel for the past two days and I finished reading it on my way home from work! You guys should go get Nicholas Sparks ‘Safe Haven’, its good!
Today I had 4 customers and I did a black French tip AGAIN. What’s up with the trend now? Is black tips considered sexy? LOL, kidding!!
Love Is A Racket is an coral red with red/iridescent flakies, jammed packed with pink and purple shimmers! It’s gorgeous because it is incredibly shiny and sparkly! It dries matte which is kinda odd and it doesn’t feel gritty even though it looks like it is. Absolutely smooth after a top coat!
Hello everyone!!! I’M BACK the bad thing is… I broke about 5 nails during the trip and I cut them off. I forgot to bring any filers or nail clippers so thats the most unfortunate thing. Now I have very bad and short nails and it looks horrible! So I’ll be posting up a few of my draft posts and I’ll do a loot post from Hongkong if that’s okay with you guys. I just wanna take this opportunity to let my nails grow abit so do pardon me if I’m abit lagging in updates because I’m kinda busy this week!
China Glaze First Mate. I don’t think I need to describe this. A perfect nautical navy blue shade. It’s so creamy and a joy to apply! This was one of the best shades in the collection in terms of application. I layered Nubar 2010 over and it’s gorgeous!!! :>
Anyway, what loot post do you want to see first? Accessories, Shoes or Apparel? Haha I’ll get everything up ASAP but I’d like to know what you wanna see first, hehe!
Good afternoon, it’s another day of Pink Wednesday! No nail art post today, I’m kinda lacking in that area recently any suggestions for my next nail art post? Share it with me
OPI Come To Poppy is a beautiful coral-pink with a pearl sheen to it. Normally I wouldn’t like a pearly shade but this one is AMAZING!! I think this one complements all skin tones.
I layered OPI I Lily Love You over my middle finger for abit of glam! I think OPI ILLY is really a great addition as a layered polish because the flakies is incredible! It’s also has a squishy jelly pink base which shouts ‘strawberry jam’ lol! My photos doesn’t do it justice
Anyway, the one thing that I hate is the removal part. Flakies are so much more difficult to remove, compared to glitters!! I’m glad I didn’t layer it all on my fingers if not I’ll be really mad trying to remove them all haha!
I didn’t have much inspiration for today’s Pink Wednesday mani but a reader suggested incorporating hearts in my design so here it is!
This isn’t 100% my design… I actually followed a YouTube tutorial I’ll definitely post the video up once I’m on my laptop! I’m not a creative person and I take quite some time to come up with my own designs. So this is another reason to pick up nail art magazines from Kinokuniya… I totally need more ideas and inspirations!
The hearts are drawn with acrylic paint and topped up with one coat of OPI I Lily Love You for some extra sparkly glam! I also added rhinestones because they’re looking kinda plain without them.
This might be too abrupt but I want to dedicate this post to Chun Sheng. He was my senior in secondary school and was a caring band leader to all of us. He passed away on Tuesday night after an Army navigation exercise. He was only 21. RIP Chun Sheng, you will be greatly missed by all of us.
I have an important test tomorrow so I’m gonna keep this short and sweet I cut/filed down my nails to the same length because it’s so weird seeing them a different length lol!
Essie Splash Of Grenadine is a muted, dusty pink with a touch of purple. It’s neither a pink or a purple, it’s somewhere in between. I find that I don’t really like this on me, I prefer looking at it from the bottle. The formula is very very streaky, I had bald spots at almost every nail! It was thick as well so it definitely takes time for each coat to dry before putting on the next one!
Also… because of some bald spots that I couldn’t save, I layered Nubar 2010 over as a cover up! I love it when glitter/flaky polishes come to the rescue! I have a mini dent at my pointer and I doubt you can see it I probably should get a backup for Nubar 2010… It’s lovely! I’ve not layered over darker colours yet so I’d definitely be giving that a try soon!
Goodnight everyone! I’m getting a little bit sleepy but I’m gonna persevere and continue revising until I drop-dead on my table, lol!
I just got home and I’m so tired!!! I passed my BTT (basic driving test) so now I can apply for my provision driving license and start to drive! I’m excited and yet scared at the same time, haha! This post will be a short one, I’m too tired to think straight!
Okay, so I’ve started water marking my photos Sorry if its a disturbance, I try not to cover the polish with the words!
For today’s notd, I used OPI Dating A Royal with Nubar 2010. Dating A Royal is a beautiful luscious blue. It’s not dark navy and neither is it under brights (I know it’s under the Brights collection but somehow in my opinion, this blue isn’t that bright enough to be under brights, lol) But this is gorgeous. This is most probably my favourite blue creme that I own.
There’s a craze for Nubar 2010 lately Since Nubar isn’t avaliable in Singapore, all of us polish junkies in S’pore was so delighted when we actually found out that a local blogshop was selling Nubar 2010! (thanks to a lovely reader! <3)Nubar 2010 is said to be a ‘fantastic shade consists of flakes of reflective glitter in a polychromatic base, and displays its many shades when worn alone as a sheer polish or layered over other nubar nail lacquers for a dramatic effect.’ Exact quote from Nubar’s website which perfectly describes this polish!
Nubar 2010 can be purchased from The Side Walks. I emailed them asking whether do they bring in other Nubar collections besides Nubar 2010 and they said they do take in orders from other collections so email them now if you want to own a Nubar! The price will be $11 per polish which I think is reasonable. It’s like a preorder so all you have to do is to pay half and wait for a couple of weeks!
I got off work early yesterday and I wandered around Far East Plaza and saw Pandora’s Box. Pandora’s Box is a shop that rents out individual cubicles for sellers like you and me to display their products that they want to sell. So there’s a huge range of products available there… like Polaroid and Holga’s, Victoria Secret, Apparels and of cause Nail Polishes. The range wasn’t that huge considering the cubicle size but I managed to find OPI Shimmery-Chic on display and bought it even though it was $16. I figured it out it was limited edition and I couldn’t find it online so I believe the price justifies. Then I went to MAC and bought another polish hahaha (that story is for another day!)
So I painted my nails with OPI Shimmery-Chic and I was waiting for it to dry when a beetle landed in between my legs. (!!!!!!!!!) I jumped out of my chair and flicked it away like a maniac. Guess what? My nails were all ruined. Some even landed on my beautiful cream-white Helmer! So I repainted them and I smeared it when I was waiting for it to dry (again!!!!!) I got pretty fed up and went to bed. So this morning, I repainted that AGAIN…. and finally I managed to have a decent swatch. Bummer, it took me three times to get this swatch right. OPI Shim-merry Chic is a copper goldie-brown shade, with orange flakies and specs of green and blue glitter. So pretty. But the formula was a little bit thick and groopy. And there are flakies all over my fingers because I couldn’t do this manicure one-shot.
So I got sick of this colour pretty much because I repainted them thrice so I changed my mani colour. I swear yesterday and today isn’t polish-good-with-no-smears day because I smeared it when I painted Parlez-vous OPI on too. Parlez-vous OPI? is a muted grey-ish purple, sort of like a hazy colour to me but its pretty unique and I really love it. One of my favourite shades in the France collection! OPI does have good formulas for their cream shades, it goes on so smoothly.
On to the photos, shall we?
Notice I have lots of flakies all around my fingers, thanks to OPI Shim-merry Chic! Oh well, I don’t have any luck with flakies at all. My first flakie polish was Color Club’s Covered with Diamonds and it was awful. WHAT A PAIN TO REMOVE. I used it on my toes and it took about a few weeks to get it completely removed. I’d probably give that away……
I am so hyped up and excited for the upcoming OPI Pirates of the Caribbean collection!!!! People are really childish when it comes to videos like this. She is just showing you the colours of the polishes, not trying to ‘give you the finger’. GEEZ. I’m loving Mermaid’s Tears, Stranger Tides, Skulls and Glossbones and of cause, Silver Shatter!
