Angela came with a unique design in mind! She wanted a spin-off from this photo!
We had a hard time choosing colours to match this photo!
A total of 10 colours are used, do visit the tags if you want to know what I’ve used! We did alternate colours on french tips and personally I like how her right hand looks, the colour combination is so punk!
Used alot of Gelish nail colours; so do check the tags for the names if interested! Did all the art in Gelish so that it lasts longer; except the confetti icing which is a glitter polish from Forever21 Multi. Added red Korean rhinestones for the finishing touch!
Belinder also wanted the art to face her; instead of the usual and I think it still looks sooo cute!!
I just trolled Youtube on my favourite nail art gurus and I have a few nail art designs that I wanna try out!!!!!! Can’t wait to get my paint out and start doing nail art again I removed my gelish manicure of about 6 days and I couldn’t wait to get my nails painted again!
Yesterday was such a close shave! I almost dropped my UV lamp but my pinkie saved it and it broke -.- looks like my left hand will be disappearing for awhile :/
OPI A-Taupe The Space Needle, 2 coats. Hmm, I have no idea how to describe this. It kinda looks like fresh mud though, the one that dries up under my shoes after a rainy day. It’s like a yellow-toned olive. (I’m not even sure whether such colour exists.) I really dislike the name of this one. What does it even mean?? Can someone decipher it for me please? :/
To be honest with you, I’m disappointed at what OPI has in store for us for Fall. So many repeated colours and only a few gems in that collection, namely this one and Uh-Oh Roll Down The Window.
I’ve already worn this colour thrice as a full mani! So that kinda says how much I like this weird colour, lol!
My hair is getting really long, it’s way past my breasts and I’m thinking about a new hair style. I’m not sure whether I should continue with my current one, which is to rebond it OR perm it. I know both styles damages my hair but my hair is naturally wavy and it’s kinda noticeable now since my last rebonding was last year.
Also, my boyfriend and some of my friends said that I wouldn’t look good with curls since I have a chubby face, lol
Anyway, let’s get on to nails instead!
Bronzed To Perfection is a dark caramel brown with golden shimmer. Seriously I feel like I’m gonna eat up my nails for a second because it totally looks like melted caramel. (Who doesn’t like caramel?! You must be joking!)
I actually left house with my specs on :/ lol I totally forgot until I reached the train station! Silly me!
P.S. My cuticles are looking so much better now been spamming Lush’s Lemony Flutter ever since so don’t judge please! Haha I promise the next few posts I’ll have better nails
Hello guys!! Its been ages since I’ve done a collection swatches and review so I’m glad to do one for Jesse’s Girl! This is indeed a new brand to me and I ordered this collection online as soon as it was available on their website. There’s a big discount for buying the entire collection so I went with that. (USD$25) Shipping was quite fast, I received these in about a week or so.
If you’re unfamiliar with this collection, this was created by JulieG, a beauty guru on Youtube! She has created her own nail polish collection and I think its a pretty good one because there’s something for everyone! I’ve been watching her videos from the start, she’s very cheerful and informative and that’s what I look for when I watch beauty-related videos! You need to check her out if you haven’t!
This is her video introducing all her nail polishes if you are interested in knowing more!
All swatches are 2 coats with no top coat. I wished she did more shimmers though because they’re super gorgeous. This collection consists of 2 shimmers and 6 cremes.
Beauty Guru is a dark musky orange and it looks like a baked orange to me! (Not that I’ve eaten or seen one!) I like this one, the oranges I own are mostly brights or neon and its kinda interesting to see a musky one.
Fashion Friday is an gorgeous red-toned purple, very flattering! Its the colour of JulieG’s background when she makes videos when she’s sitting down and doing one of her makeup videos! I believe this is quite an exact match and I like it!
All Things Girly is a red-toned peach. This isn’t one of my top picks for this collection at all because it doesn’t look good against my skin and the formula was horrible! It was streaky and really thick! I guess I had to bring out my Seche Restore if I’m using it next time.
Stiletto is a light taupe with subtle silver shimmer. It kinda looks something in between purple and grey. A very office appropriate colour and a very unique one at that! I’ve never seen anything like this colour and I’m glad I own this one now!
Cupcake Frosting is a hot fuchsia, nothing very special actually so I’m gonna just keep this description short and sweet, haha!
Party Dress is a red-toned coral, very beautiful and flattering on my skintone. Love this!! I actually have this as my pedi right now and I love the great pop of colour.
Girls Night Out is a medium cobalt blue, very striking and much darker than pictured. Again, not a very unique polish but I’m surprised that this wasn’t an exact dupe of Barry M Cobalt Blue! I might do a comparison if you guys request :>
Mermaid’s Lagoon is a dark teal with subtle golden-red shimmer. Its more like a sprinkle of fairy dust of some sort in the polish, the shimmer is really pretty and dazzling! My camera kinda freaked out on this colour but I swear this colour is super gorgeous in real life! It is much more greener than pictured, not as turquoise as what the photo depicts.
As a whole, I had no issues with the formula except for All Things Girly. Their brushes are kinda unique, they’re thin, small and short so it kinda makes me go back to the bottle twice for each nail on average to have enough polish for my entire nail!
Well, so what’s your favourite from this collection? My favourites have to be Mermaid’s Lagoon, Fashion Friday and Stiletto! Any requests for comparison, please let me know
Hello everyone! omg I juz bought my first nail art magazine and I am going to try some of the designs when exams are officially over! I can’t wait for that to happen! It’s another 48 hours till the start of my first paper, yikes!
Today’s NOTD is China Glaze Ingrid! This is my 2nd/3rd using this as my full mani and I really love this colour!
China Glaze Ingrid is a warm milk chocolate brown with light brown/ golden micro shimmer. I wanna believe this colour is 95% of milk chocolate with 5% of caramel… Yum!!!
I had lots of compliments on this when I first wore it out because it was flattering against my skin tone and most of my friends told me that it looks edible!
I did 2 coats and the formula and application was wonderful! Another great Fall polish to invest if you don’t own this!
Wow, this morning it was raining cats and dogs. It rained ever since I woke up at 9.30AM and it didn’t stop until I reach home at 3PM! That’s crazy… I think we might have a flood here in Singapore somewhere, lol. Also, because it was raining; the weather was super chilly and it was such a great weather to sleep in. Unfortunately, I had to force myself out of bed for my driving lessons
So what I have on my nails right now is Models Own Becca’s Brown! I think of creamy milk chocolate and Famous Amos chocolate chip cookies when I see this shade, its so pretty! This was completely opaque in one coat, YAY! But I did two anyway, haha.
Anyway, I apologise for the dents, blurs and the graininess of this baby :/ This photo came out blurred and I tried to fix it and that’s the best I can do. I was rushing out this morning hence the slipshod work in taking pictures :<
Oh and a funny thing happened today…. LOL I CANNOT STOP GIGGLING TO MYSELF. My boyfriend came over today and he flooded my kitchen. Yep… because my parents were using the washing machine and we have this long tube that connects to the washing machine that purges all the dirty water out of the washing. My bf went to the toilet and he took out the long tube from the toilet and placed it on the floor. Minutes later, he opened the door to find that the kitchen was flooded. He ran to my room and told me ‘KITCHEN FLOODEDDD!!’ LOL. That sentence gave me a shock and I ran to the kitchen with him. My dad, him and I ended up mopping the entire kitchen because it was wet everywhere.
Opps, sorry for this late post on my notd! I was out the entire day cause I went to watch ‘X-men: First Class’ at a nearby cinema and it was really awesome!!! My boyfriend was really keen and excited to watch it today cause we didn’t manage to get tickets last Saturday, it was full house everywhere; I’m serious! Initially I wasn’t really looking forward in watching this movie because I wasn’t hyped about X-men and I thought it would be boring since it’s during Professor X’s and Magneto’s (lol this name makes me think of Magnum ice-cream, LOL!) years. Furthermore, my favourite character Storm wouldn’t be making a cameo. Haha, anyway I’m glad I caught it anyway! The coin going through that evil maniac’s head was gruesome but kinda cool, lol!
OPI I’m Suzi & I’m A Chocoholic! is a reddish brown creme. Kinda looks like chocolate but mixed with too much red wine. Does this even make any sense? Oh well, it can be a red or brown ; it’s kinda somewhere in the middle! And I have to say… a big thumbs up to the application and the formulae. This one applied really smooth, like butter! I’m gonna wish that OPI could keep up with such great formula on its cremes! I was up and ready to go in 5 mins because I did my mani in supersonic speed, lol.
With flash:
The flash shows how red-toned this chocolate shade is!
Hello, morning ladies! Last night was my brother’s 21st and we had a quiet celebration at home. My brother wasn’t keen on doing something fancy or whatnot so we had a nice dinner at Jack’s Place with mango cake, yum! I was so full yesterday!!
Anyway, this is one of my long-awaited drafts that I was wanting to post up! (you can see my nails are short and there’s no watermark!) This is the polish that I used as base for my Into The Wild nail design so here it is in it’s full glory!
Elianto Silky Brown is a dull copper with a slight metallic finish. It’s a little bit watery but I still like it anyway. I think this colour is great for leopard nail designs, haha!
I think Elianto is so underrated compared to other brands such as Etude House, The Face Shop etc! Personally I still prefer polishes from Elianto because the formula is easy to work with and the brush is kinda similar to China Glaze; thin and long but definitely a joy to work with. I bought a few polishes from The Face Shop on Saturday from the Lovely Mix range and I have to say I love the colours that they’ve come up with but definitely not the formulae and the brushes, eek! I feel like I’ve wasted my money
Hey guys! I’m finally back from diving! I am so so tired right now… I am aching everywhere and I still have a bag of diving equipment to wash But I did have fun as a Training Assistant! Haha, I have lots of tutorials undone but once I’m done with school this week, its the holidays!!!! But then again, 3 weeks of holidays isn’t enough. Especially when I have to study for tests during the 3 weeks.
I didn’t have any severe breakage during diving!!! Yay, first time ever! But I did have a minor split on my left thumb nail but it’s okay because I’m gonna let them grow for a couple of weeks and then get them squared again!
OPI I Don’t Know Jacques is a mousy-taupe brown. It was from the France collection and this is one of the first polish that I’ve bought from this collection. I had this polish for quite sometime and I didn’t use it until today This is really badddd especially when my nail polish collection is growing so rapidly!
Just a heads up… I got the Serena Glam Slam sets before I went for diving so I’ll be posting swatches of those next! Do keep a look out!
