Gelish: Lace Elegance

These are my nails 2-3 weeks back and I really appreciate the creation of nail stickers! Especially to manicurist like us, we can’t possibly ask someone to do our nails for the tiny details! I do have a pretty wide collection of Japan stickers, thanks to my boyfriend who went to Taiwan last month and to Ying for bringing back lots of stickers from Japan and Hongkong! If I have the time, I will take photographs of my current Japan sticker collection! Rest assured they’re all very very good quality!

I’m in the half-tip design, I don’t really like painting my entire nail with one colour; because the sight of nail growth really irks me! With this design, the growth is not even visible! I used Gelish Desert Sands as the base and Gelish Make A Difference! I love the base colour, its a shimmery nude which enhances the pinkness of your natural nails! :D

Added polka dots, lace stickers and adorned it with crystals and its done! Easy peasy with the help of stickers ^^

I love this set so much <3 but unfortunately; due to the colour problem from Gelish; the pink started to fade into bits of yellow which was horrendous!!! Sigh, that’s the problem with most Gelish pinks though, they tend to fade over time!

Chanel-Kitty Workshop!

I attended the Chanel-Kitty workshop held at my nail school, The PinkRoom International Nail Academy last Monday! I signed up last month, since seats were really limited and naturally; I was looking forward to the course!

Its been 2 months since I’ve started my diploma course and so far, I’ve not touched any acrylic modules yet. However, as I had a little experience dealing with acrylic in my ONS workshop earlier this year; I decided to go ahead with attending this workshop as a learning experience!

Was told to purchase either Angel Pro or Charisma powders to attend this workshop and so I did! There was a further 10% even with student discount! ^^ I bought the Sunshine rainbow series, love the colours!

My messy workspace! Rachel, our principal was teaching the workshop and she provided with lots of neat tips and tricks! First she demo-ed, before we do some hands-on! There wasn’t much time for much hands on practice though, I wished the workshop duration was longer!

Pics below shows Principal Rachel’s work! They’re fabulous!! There are more designs but unfortunately I didn’t manage to take pics of it :( Oh and I realised Rachel uses those hooks to put her nail tips which I think its an innovative idea!!!!

Lol… and the below picture shows my end result! Well, please don’t judge me as yet!! I only like my Hello Kitty face hahahaha, its body is too long and the sleeves are way too big! XD

All in all, I had fun!!!! I’m looking forward to new workshops in the coming months :)

Simply Chic!

Yongying is my official first pedicure customer! She opted for an express pedicure and she chose OPI Baby It’s ‘Coal’ Outside!, a black shimmer with tiny silver bits!

As I’ve mentioned earlier, she absolutely love embellishments and again chose a gold square stud for her big toes and ss4 crystals for the rest!

Gelish: Love for Chanel

Yongying, another customer who brought alot a picture of her intended design!

She chose Gelish Make A Difference and Gelish Waterfield, and the heart was drawn with Bling B020 and Gelish Black Shadow! She absolutely loves bling and I’ve added a huge ss10 crystal and ss4 on her glitter nails, a square gold stud on her middle and black lace and a Chanel charm for her thumbs! Look at how shiny the charms are, simply stunning!

Yes I do have quite a number of charms at the moment, I’m bringing in more designs too! Check my Facebook later on, I will post it up ^^

I love how this set looks, it doesn’t look over the top with the blings!

Ribbons Galore!

Hui Ru requested for this design from tumblr and we made a few changes! As she broke one of her nails; we changed the design into a half-moon instead; which makes her nails look longer!

The colours used for the base was OPI Elephantastic Pink and OPI Alpine Snow! I also adorned the ribbons with a small crystal each; and it looks like a wrapped present! Hui Ru also wanted to try the lace stickers when she saw what I did with my own nails too! (will be up next!) I really like how her accent nail looks, so bridal!

Haha and Hui Ru immediately took a photo of her nails and sent it to her boyfriend and he lavishly complimented the execution of the design. :D Happy customers makes me happy too!

Gelish: Jumping Geometry

Shermagne actually decided on polka dot accents on her nails but changed her mind when she saw my new nail art wheel!

This design is from the latest issue of Nail Max or Nail Up! magazine! (I can’t remember from which!)

Photobucket

The base colour is a light grey from AngelPro 14, which in some angles look like a pale, dusty light lilac! All art was done in Gelish, so head to the tabs section to know all the colours used!! :)

So cute! I find that shapes are really in trend this season!

Gelish: Retro Squares!

Rachel requested for this design and I just had to make it happen!

Photobucket

She also chose the colour combi that she wanted and also didn’t want the gold studs as featured.

Photobucket

So I suggested doing a subtle glitter on her green base since it was odd to leave it plain, so that’s Artistic Colour Gloss With It and Gelish Vegas Nights! All nail art was done with gel colours!!! Love them, they look so cute together!

Rachel even mentioned she wanted to corporate yellow in her next Gelish mani! Can’t wait for her next appointment!
