OPI Princesses Rule! & Nubar Black Polka Dot

Hello all! My nails look totally horrible in camera :( They don’t really look that bad actually… T-T I am still moisturizing my hands with cuticle oil and hand cream so I hope all that dryness gets better!

Photobucket

I’m back to polish again and I have Nubar Black Polka Dot layered over OPI Princesses Rule! I love how PR is a girly colour but yet it teams up well with BPD :)

Hope you all are having a good day! :) I’m addicted to Temple Run, who is?

Glitter Bomb Zebra Print Nail Design

Good afternoon, ladies and maybe some gentleman! ^^ Tonight’s my cousin’s wedding dinner and I thought I might do something funky with my nails!

This is the source of my inspiration, Nail Up! from the July issue! Look at the price on that set of nails, 9760 Yen!!!! That’s like close to SGD$158 just for this set. So overpriced! So today I am going to teach you how to do this set for so much less! :)

Photobucket

1. So the first step is to choose your glitters to work with! You don’t really have the follow the glitters I used, you can totally make it your own by using what you have. I’ve used Barry M Green Glitter, Barry M Blue Glitter, Barry M Red Glitter, OPI Excuse Moi!, Nubar Petunia Sparkles.

2. Decide on how you want your glitters to be placed, make sure that they’re kinda random and all over the place. Do 2 coats of them. I kinda left a tiny gap between my cuticle area and my nails, just like the inspiration picture.

3. After your glitters are dry, I put a coat of China Glaze Shooting Stars just to blend in the colours together. Add a top coat to make it smooth before the nail art.

4. Draw black stripes using a thin brush or a nail art striper.

5. Add rhinestones and a top coat and TA-DAH you’re done!

This is super shiny in real life!!!

Another Black Polka Dot Combo

I’m so tired today, probably because I spent the wee hours of the morning reading the third Harry Potter book! And I’m done with it now :) :) gonna start on the 4th book soon but it’s gonna be hard carrying it around since it’s so heavy!!!

I’m having my last second driving lesson today and I’m pretty happy that I’m completing the driving course soon! Shall book my practical test and get it over and done with!

So anyway, I broke my nails on my left hand again, all thanks to me picking at them so for a couple of weeks, I’m going to let my right hand show itself for abit :) hope you guys don’t mind my lobster hands! It was fairly difficult to get my right hand to do a decent post :(

Photobucket

Here’s a mani that I really like and I’m wearing it for 2 days now! It’s Nubar Black Polka Dot layered over OPI Elephantastic Pink!

I love how hot pink and black goes well together! ;)

And a last photo just for laughs:

This cracks me up, my fingers are all over the place!!! I had a good laugh for a minute lol!

Barry M Yellow & Nubar Black Polka Dot

Don’t you just love the chilly weather right now in Singapore? I’m loving it!!!! It’s such a joy to wake up when it’s raining haha cause it’s so chilly and comfortable!

It’s back to work again today! :) the crowd usually come after 3-4PM so I’m currently slacking right now by uploading a post :P

Photobucket

Barry M Yellow is a sunshine yellow creme. Yellows are always a problematic bunch because they simply streaked and always gives bald spots. However, this one is an exception! 2 coats was all I need to cover the streaks and bald spots created on the first coat. The formula was thicker than usual though but very manageable.

The bad thing is this stained all my fingers :( :( I had to buff them to get all the icky yellow layer out!

I added a coat of Nubar Black Polka Dot to spice things up abit. This mani reminds me of the annoying song called ‘Black & Yellow’, LOLOL!

Essie Pansy & Nubar Black Polka Dot

Good afternoon! :) Decided to do a bit of experimenting with Nubar Black Polka Dot today :) I actually tried many combinations when my nails were pretty short and I love it best with bright/pastel colours!! I really recommend this polish if you love layering and glitter!

Photobucket

In this mani, I layered Nubar Black Polka Dot over Essie Pansy. I love how the hot pink is toned down after adding a layer of black glitter. Nubar Black Polka Dot is a tinted sheer black base with large hexagon glitter with small black glitter. These glitter isn’t reflective so I think it’d be a great idea to layer it over shimmers too!

Yep I only did one coat of BPD over and it looks like I got quite an even number of glitters on all my nails! The best thing about this tinted polish is that you can add more layers, depending on how many glitters you want, without making the polish look too thick!

I’ll be posting up Michelle Nail Color swatches from Beadstreet either tonight or tomorrow morning! Keep a lookout! :D

Nubar Iced Licorice

What a nerve-wrecking morning I’ve been through today! Results for Semester 1 is out and I’m glad I did better than expected :) I celebrated by sleeping in till 3PM, lol! I guess I was too tired staying up late with my Dad waiting for our results to be emailed to us! My Dad is 56 and he’s still studying part-time so I’m so proud of him!!! We might able to graduate together if all goes well! :D

Photobucket

Nubar Iced Licorice is a light orchid with golden shimmer. The shimmer looks pretty bigger than usual, looks like small flakies from afar. I don’t like the name of this baby because I hate licorice. The taste is really bad and I don’t think I can get used to that :( Haha, I love this polish but just not the name itself! This was only 2 coats.

Nubar Violet Sparkle

I’m gonna take photos of my shoe loot from Hongkong today so stay tuned! :) Today, I will be posting another draft post! Looking at my nails in these photos make me really sad! My nails now are uneven, round and really short! I don’t even have the white part of the nail yet! :/

Photobucket

Nubar Violet Sparkle is a light lilac glitter. It’s really pretty… and it dried a little lighter than the bottle. I usually don’t wear glitters as a full mani but Nubar made me change my mind! The glitters were really opaque as well, this was 2 coats if I remembered correctly!

China Glaze First Mate + Nubar 2010

Hello everyone!!! I’M BACK :D the bad thing is… I broke about 5 nails during the trip and I cut them off. I forgot to bring any filers or nail clippers so thats the most unfortunate thing. Now I have very bad and short nails and it looks horrible! So I’ll be posting up a few of my draft posts and I’ll do a loot post from Hongkong if that’s okay with you guys. I just wanna take this opportunity to let my nails grow abit :) so do pardon me if I’m abit lagging in updates because I’m kinda busy this week!

Photobucket

China Glaze First Mate. I don’t think I need to describe this. A perfect nautical navy blue shade. It’s so creamy and a joy to apply! This was one of the best shades in the collection in terms of application. I layered Nubar 2010 over and it’s gorgeous!!! :>

Anyway, what loot post do you want to see first? Accessories, Shoes or Apparel? Haha I’ll get everything up ASAP but I’d like to know what you wanna see first, hehe!

Have a great day~

Nubar Indigo Illusion

I’m in a weak spot for duochromes lately :) so I’m featuring yet another one that I love!

Photobucket

Nubar Indigo Illusion is another beautiful duochrome that is jumping up quick on my top 10 list! This has a majority of blue and green with flashes of purple, pink, coral and yellow! Ahhhh… I can stare at this for hours!

I did only 2 coats but frankly, you can almost get away with one! It’s almost opaque in one coat!

Even though I’ve only got a few Nubars, I am loving this brand! No problems with wonky brushes (ahem… MAC!) nor any formula issues! It’s close to perfect I’d say! And I love that they come up with gorgeous glitters and duochromes, they really know how to win a girl’s heart!

Nubar Night Sparkles

Hello everyone! I recently purchased a few Nubars and Barry M nail polishes from eBay and I can’t wait to show you all of them! However, that has to wait though… I’m currently so busy with my schoolwork :( I apologize as updates on my blog gets a little slower now, I just can’t seem to have the time to do a blog post everyday :/

But anyway, I have a Nubar glitter to show you today! It’s been ages since I’ve used glitter as my mani because removing them is a chore, argh!

Photobucket

Night Sparkles is a beautiful bright blue glitter suspended in a dark/navy blue base. This has lots of depth in it, I am starstruck by just looking at it from the bottle! Application was smooth, I did only 2 coats for maximum coverage. Usually glitters have the tendency to be see-through but I’m not having any problems with this one! :)

I actually did 2 coats of top coat on some of my fingers because the glitters still feel gritty to the touch. Other than that, I LOVE THIS!!!!
